Woman Killed in Fresno Car Accident at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue in Fresno

Fresno, California (April 12, 2023) – A woman was killed in a car crash early Wednesday morning in Fresno.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1 a.m. at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue.

CHP says a tow truck was traveling northbound on Friant Road when it collided with the woman’s vehicle traveling west on Shepherd.

The woman was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by the firefighters.

Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The tow truck driver was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
