A woman was driving a white Honda Civic sedan northbound on I-15 when she pulled over to the right shoulder after her car experienced a problem

Barstow, CA.- A woman was flown to a hospital after being involved in a hit-and-run accident near Barstow late Sunday night, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 11:59 p.m. August 17, on I-15 near the Harvard Road exit.
A woman was driving a white Honda Civic sedan northbound on I-15 when she pulled over to the right shoulder after her car experienced a problem.
When she stepped out to check on her car, a semi-truck swerved to the shoulder and struck the parked vehicle and the woman.
The driver of the big rig failed to stop at the scene after the accident.
The woman was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton with major injuries.
The CHP said the big rig is expected to have damage to its passenger side.
The accident remains under investigation.
