Wang Jiuxiang Dies in Half Moon Bay Crash on Kelly Avenue
Half Moon Bay, California (February 11, 2023) – Wang Jiuxiang, 75, of Half Moon Bay, was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Half Moon Bay, according to the authorities.
The wreck took place at 500 Kelly Avenue at around 3 p.m. February 9.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Jiuxiang was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Miguel Jose Juarez-Perez, 18.
Jiuxiang was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Juarez-Perez was cooperative with the investigators and was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
