1 Injured in Hesperia Bus Accident on Rock Springs Road
Hesperia, California (February 24, 2023) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle traffic collision involving a Victor Valley Transit Authority bus that happened Thursday morning in Hesperia, as per a local news source.
The incident took place at about 8:13 a.m. in the 19200 block of Rock Springs Road.
Police said a VVTA bus, a Chevrolet Traverse, and a silver Subaru were involved in the accident.
Investigating officers determined that the Chevrolet was traveling westbound on Rock Springs Road when, for unknown reasons, veered into the eastbound number one lane where the bus was.
The Chevy sideswiped the bus, sending it into multiple chain-link fences and trees in the yards of nearby homes.
The Chevrolet stopped in the yard of a nearby residence, and the Subaru acquired crash damage from debris that flew from the crash.
The driver of the Chevy was hospitalized with unknown injuries. The bus had no passengers at the time of the collision. The bus driver and the other parties involved in the accident were not injured.
The Hesperia Police Department is investigating the accident.
