Victorville, CA – A male motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a collision involving three vehicles, including an Amazon delivery van, on Amargosa Road in Victorville on Thursday morning, according to preliminary reports from local authorities.
The crash occurred shortly before 11:30 AM on December 4, 2025, on Amargosa Road just south of Eucalyptus Street, where emergency crews were dispatched following reports of a motorcyclist down in the roadway.
Investigators stated that a 2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R motorcycle and an Amazon Dodge Ram ProMaster van were southbound on Amargosa Road when the motorcycle attempted to pass the van. At the same time, a yellow Jeep was heading northbound along the same stretch of roadway.
During the attempted pass, the motorcycle reportedly clipped the rear driver-side corner of the Amazon van, causing the rider to lose control. The out-of-control motorcycle then struck the side of the northbound Jeep, throwing the rider onto the roadway and leaving him critically injured.
The rider—who was described as drifting in and out of consciousness—was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary's Medical Center. No updates regarding his condition were immediately available.
The motorcycle came to rest on the shoulder of the northbound lane. Both the Amazon van and the Jeep, which sustained damage to their rear driver sides, were pulled off onto the shoulder. The drivers of both vehicles were not injured.
Local law enforcement and traffic investigators responded to the scene. Officers documented the collision, interviewed witnesses and drivers, and assessed damage to all involved vehicles. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not indicated that impairment or speeding have been confirmed.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Officials are working to determine the exact sequence of events and contributing factors that led to the impact.
Amargosa Road was shut down between Gabriel Street and Eucalyptus Street while emergency crews and investigators worked the scene. The closure resulted in delays for motorists traveling in both directions.
