Vianey Ivey Identified as Woman Killed in Anaheim Crash at Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road
Anaheim, California (December 25, 2022) – Vianey Granillo Ivey, 36, of Hawaiian Gardens, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a Thursday afternoon DUI accident in Anaheim, according to the coroner’s officials.
The deadly accident happened at about 2:15 p.m., on December 22, at Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road.
According to the police, Luis Javier Garcia Pedroza, 36, of Anaheim, allegedly drove through a red light going southbound on Magnolia Avenue and crashed into the eastbound car driven by Ivey.
The crash triggered a chain reaction involving at least eight vehicles.
Sadly, Ivey sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Pedroza was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of a drug, according to police.
One person was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, and nine others complained of pain but were treated on scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
