Vira Zheltonozhko Killed in Citrus Heights Accident on Antelope
Citrus Heights, California (June 29, 2023) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle in Citrus Heights on Tuesday night has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Vira Zheltonozhko, 82, of Citrus Heights, died following the crash that took place on Antelope Road at around 8:19 p.m. June 27.
Authorities said Zheltonozhko was hit by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Antelope Road west of Auburn Boulevard.
Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
According to the report, Zheltonozhko was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
The eastbound lanes of Antelope Road were closed for hours as authorities investigated the incident.
