Four Hurt in Raymond Accident on Highway 101

Raymond, Washington (June 28, 2023) – Four people were injured in a crash on Tuesday afternoon north of Raymond, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened at around 4:21 p.m. June 27, on Highway 101 near milepost 60.
WSP said Donnie M. Hendrickson, 63, of Raymond, was driving a 2000 Toyota pickup northbound on Highway 101 when he swerved off the right side of the roadway. He then overcorrected into the southbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming 1998 Ford SUV.
The driver of the Ford, a 41-year-old woman, and her passengers, a 47-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy, were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Hendrickson, who was also hospitalized, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and two counts of second-degree vehicular assault.
According to the report, both Hendrickson and the 47-year-old man in the other vehicle had major injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The WSP is investigating the incident.
