2 Injured in San Luis Obispo Crash on Calle Joaquin 

San Luis Obispo, California (April 20, 2023) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision on Wednesday evening in San Luis Obispo, according to the authorities.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Calle Joaquin between Motel 6 and Highway 101. 

Firefighters responded to the scene of the two-vehicle collision and extricated one of the drivers.

The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The other driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Authorities said excessive speed is suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is investigating the accident.
