Bicyclist Severely Hurt in Reedley Accident at Springville and Sunset Avenues

Reedley, California (May 17, 2023) – A teen bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a truck as it was rolling over Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Reedley.

According to the Reedley police, the accident happened around 2:13 p.m. in Springville and Sunset Avenues.

Reportedly, the driver lost control and flipped his truck after hitting a parked car in the roadway.

The truck struck a teenage boy riding a bike on the sidewalk. The car flipped for the second time and landed on a fence in the front yard of a home.

The teen was airlifted to a nearby hospital with a broken arm and leg.

Additional information about the crash was not provided.

The wreck remains under investigation.
