11-Year-Old Taylor Mayavan Killed in Fairfield Crash on Suisun Valley Road

Fairfield, California (November 21, 2022) – Taylor Mayavan, 11, of Fairfield, was among two people killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in Fairfield on Friday evening, according to a report by the Solano County Coroner’s Office.

The collision happened at about 6:15 p.m. November 18, in the area of Suisun Valley Road, south of Morrison Lane.

Christina Taylor, 38, of Fairfield, was reportedly driving a Mazda southbound on Suisun Valley Road when she swerved into the northbound side and collided with an oncoming Honda. 

The impact sent the Honda off the roadway, where it collided with a tree, then re-entered the northbound lane and crashed with a Chrysler.

Christina Taylor and her passenger, Taylor Mayava, were both killed.

A 6-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Mazda was taken to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Honda, Janice Berry, 56, of Fairfield, was not injured but a 3-year-old boy in her vehicle had minor injuries.

The operator of the Chrysler, Virginia Martin of Fairfield, was transported to NorthBay Medical Center for minor injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the accident.

The CHP is handling the investigation.
