Rider Killed in Yucca Valley Accident on Twentynine Palms Highway and Hanford Avenue

Yucca Valley, California (December 24, 2022) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision that took place in Yucca Valley on Thursday afternoon, according to the authorities.

The wreck took place in the area of Twentynine Palms Highway and Hanford Avenue at around 5:09 p.m. December 22.

A rider in a white Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling east on the highway when he applied the brakes to avoid stopped traffic and skidded.

The rider then laid down the bike and slammed into the rear of an eastbound grey Toyota Corolla.

Authorities said the rider was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The operator of the Corolla was not injured.

Alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin is handling the investigation.
