Woman Killed in San Mateo Accident on Highway 280 near Golf Course Drive
San Mateo, California (March 14, 2019) – A woman was killed in a car accident in San Mateo on Wednesday afternoon, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. March 13, on Highway 280 near Golf Course Drive.
As per the report, a Hyundai had been traveling eastbound on the roadway when it was struck on the right side by a Volkswagen that was turning onto Golf Course Drive.
The impact of the collision caused the Hyundai to flip onto its side.

An 87-year-old female passenger of the Hyundai sustained major injuries and was transported to Stanford Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
The 63-year-old male driver of the Hyundai and his 89-year-old male passenger were also injured in the collision and were transported to Stanford Medical Center for treatment.
The 16-year-old girl driving the Volkswagen and her passenger were unhurt.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
