Woman Killed in Rancho Cordova Crash on Highway 50
Rancho Cordova, California (May 20, 2023) – A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle in Rancho Cordova on Thursday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. May 19, on Highway 50 east of Mather Field Road.
A 50-year-old Davis woman was walking along the side of westbound Highway 50 when she began to walk into the roadway and was hit by a Toyota driven by a 64-year-old man.
The woman was killed in the accident.
It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
