2 Injured, 1 Seriously in Winchester Truck Crash on Highway 79 near Garbini Road

Winchester, California (August 25, 2020) – Two people were injured, one of them seriously, when two trucks collided head-on Tuesday morning on Highway 79 near Winchester, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place just before 7:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Garbini Road.

CHP said a Nissan truck and a Ford F-150 collided head-on, and one of them rolled over.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported two people to Inland Valley Medical Center. One of the victims sustained serious injuries and the other minor injuries.
The report said constructions nails were scattered on both sides of the roadway prior to the collision, but no more information was given.
The collision closed southbound traffic for an unknown period.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
