2 Injured in Ocean Beach Crash at Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz Boulevards
Ocean Beach, California (June 23, 2022) – According to the California Highway Patrol, two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries following a rear-end collision in Ocean Beach, San Diego County.
The accident occurred around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, near Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz boulevards intersection.
As per the CHP officials, a 2015 Kia Sol crashed into a 2008 Nissan Altima from behind. The female Kia driver, 26 years, claimed that she overlooked the Nissan that had halted at the stop light at the junction.
Officials confirmed that two people were hurt in the collision. A Kia passenger sustained a spinal fracture, and her legs were numb due to the accident. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the police.
The Nissan driver, 40 years, complained of pain in her head and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police said that the injuries of the two patients were non-life-threatening.
Officials said they did not suspect alcohol to have played a role in the crash.
No other information regarding this incident was provided.
