Three Dead in Stockton Collision on Highway 12

Stockton, California (May 14, 2022) – Three people were killed in a collision that occurred on Highway 12 near Stockton on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened at around 2:19 a.m. on May 13.

A Hyundai Elantra was traveling eastbound on Highway 12 when it drifted off the side of the road, and the driver lost control.

The vehicle then swerved back into the roadway and collided with a Honda Pilot traveling in front of it.

Both vehicles were pushed into the westbound side, and they collided with a Toyota Camry.

The impact caused the Honda and the Hyundai to overturn into a ditch.

The 28-year-old woman driving the Hyundai and the two male passengers in the Honda, aged 30 and 25, were all pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Honda and the two occupants of the Toyota were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
