Anthony Huante Dies in Motorcycle Accident at Seventh Avenue and Sultana Street
Hesperia, California (May 25, 2023) – One person was killed in a collision involving an off-road motorcycle on Tuesday night in Hesperia.
At around 7:56 p.m. on May 23, the San Bernardino County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Sultana Street.
Authorities say a 2003 Honda off-road motorcycle was traveling west on Sultana Street and had two riders, one male and one female, and reportedly collided with a maroon 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was traveling westbound on Seventh Avenue.
The impact of the collision ejected both riders from the motorcycle.
The male rider, who was later identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as 40-year-old Anthony R. Huante, of Hesperia, was killed in the accident.
The unidentified rider was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The 17-year-old driver of the Silverado was unhurt.
The Hesperia Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the cause of the accident.
