Salt River Police Officer Hospitalized After Suspected DUI Crash
Police Officer Injured in Indian School Road Crash in Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Arizona (February 10, 2023) – A salt River police officer was hospitalized after a DUI suspect crashed into a patrol truck early Thursday morning.
According to police, the incident happened at around 3:18 a.m. on Indian School Road near Loop 101.
Investigators said the officer was driving a marked patrol truck westbound on Indian School Road when a vehicle heading in the opposite direction crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the police car.
The officer and the driver of the other car were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police suspect the civilian was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The Salt River Police Department is investigating the wreck.
