2 Killed, 1 Injured in Sacramento Car Crash on Auburn Boulevard near Cobalt Way
Citrus Heights, California (January 23, 2023) – Two people were killed in a collision involving a pedestrian and two vehicles in Citrus Heights on Sunday night.
The fatal collision happened on Auburn Boulevard near Cobalt Way at around 7:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
The officers who arrived at the scene found the pedestrian lying on the road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital, where one died while receiving treatment.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed pending the notification of the next-of-kin by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The Citrus Heights Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
