Man Critically Injured in Riverside Pedestrian Accident
Man Hospitalized After Being Hit by Suspected DUI Driver at Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street in Riverside

Riverside, California (May 15, 2023) – A 36-year-old man was hit and critically injured by a car Sunday night in Riverside, the Riverside Police Department said.
The driver involved was arrested and booked into jail for DUI.
The accident occurred at around 10 p.m. near Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street.
Police said a 34-year-old Corona man was driving a 1999 Mercedes Benz westbound on Magnolia between Skofstad and La Sierra when he hit a 36-year-old male pedestrian crossing the street.
Emergency personnel transported both men to Riverside Community Hospital, where the pedestrian was listed in critical condition.
The driver was medically cleared, arrested, and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for suspicion of DUI, police said.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
