Alpine Pedestrian Crash on 8 Freeway near Willows Road Thursday afternoon
Alpine, California (February 14, 2020) – Firefighters on Thursday afternoon responded to the scene of a major injury auto-pedestrian accident on 8 Freeway in Alpine.
The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes at Willows Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by a car of unknown make and model for unknown reasons.
Responding firefighters said the victim suffered serious injuries in the accident.
The car involved was towed away for evidence. There were no details given about the driver of that car.
CHP is investigating the crash.
