1 Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Crash at East Street and South Street in Redding
One Hurt in Redding Pedestrian Accident on East Street and South Street
Redding, California (October 18, 2022) – One person sustained major injuries in a pedestrian crash that happened at East Street and South Street in Redding Monday morning, according to the Redding Police Department.
The incident happened shortly before 10:15 a.m. October 17.
Police said two people were walking with a dog northbound on East Street crossing South Street in a crosswalk when a 2015 Toyota Prius C made a left turn onto eastbound South Street and struck them.
One of the victims was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities said drugs and alcohol were not suspected to have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
