Paul Antonio Killed in Tucson Bicycle Accident on East 29th Street
Tucson, California (May 22, 2023) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the accident happened at around 2:45 p.m. at the 4200 block of East 29th Street.
54-year-old Paul A. Antonio was riding a bicycle across 29th Street from north to south and was struck by a white 2010 Chevrolet Colorado traveling eastbound on 29th Street.
Antonio was killed in the accident.
Authorities say the Chevrolet was traveling over the posted 35 MPH speed limit.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
