Coalinga, California (August 15, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday morning in a traffic collision in Coalinga, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after 10:15 a.m. Friday, August 13, on Interstate 5 at State Route 41.

The CHP said a motorcyclist collided with a black Toyota for undetermined reasons on the southbound side of the interstate.

The rider was thrown off the road upon the impact.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the motorcycle rider who sustained major injuries in the crash.
