2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 49 near Darrah Road in Mariposa
Mariposa, California (May 12, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized with major injuries following a car crash that happened in Mariposa early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 11 a.m. on Highway 49 south, south of Darrah Road.
A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was driving southbound on Highway 49 South when it struck a 2003 Ford Taurus that entered the southbound lane of the highway.
The driver of the Ford and her passenger were injured in the crash and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The third occupant of the Ford was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was unhurt.
More details about the crash were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
