At Least 1 Seriously Injured in 5 Freeway Crash in Los Angeles
At Least 1 Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway near Van Nuys Boulevard Off-Ramp in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California (May 8, 2023) – At least one person suffered major injuries after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night near Arleta in Los Angeles.
Three vehicles collided at around 10:54 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway, just south of the Van Nuys Boulevard off-ramp.
First responders found at least one person with major injuries. The victim was offered medical help at the scene and transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Police said two other collisions, each involving two vehicles, happened at the same scene around the same time. One of them resulted in minor injuries, and the other in property damage only.
CHP officers are investigating the collisions.
