Yolanda Reyna Critically Hurt in Los Angeles Crash on Gage Avenue
Los Angeles, California (February 21, 2023) – Yolanda Reyna, 43, was critically injured when a short police pursuit ended in a collision in the Florence neighborhood of Los Angeles Thursday night, according to the authorities.
The incident took place at Gage Avenue and San Pedro Street at about 7:40 p.m. February 16.
The Los Angeles Police Department said authorities tried to stop a driver in a stolen black GMC pickup in the area of Florence Avenue and Main Street but the suspect fled.
Authorities pursued the vehicle for a short while. As the suspect was northbound on San Pedro Street, the driver ran a red light at Gage Avenue and collided with a vehicle driven by Reyna.
Reyna was taken to Dignity Health in downtown LA with critical injuries.
The two suspects in the stolen vehicle were arrested. They were also transported to a hospital for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
