3 Killed in Car Accident near Manning Avenue and Highway 33 in Fresno
Juan Cortez and Amancio Hildago Killed in Fresno Crash near Manning Avenue and Highway 33
Fresno, California (May 19, 2023) – Authorities have released the names of the three people killed early Thursday morning at an intersection in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on May 18 near Manning Avenue and Highway 33.
A Toyota sedan was traveling on Manning Avenue when it failed to stop at an intersection and collided with a big rig.
53-year-old Juan Cortez and his passenger, 21-year-old Kevin Cruz Montesinos, were declared dead at the accident scene.
A second passenger, 77-year-old Amancio Hildago, was rushed to a hospital and declared dead.
The 23-year-old male driver of the big rig stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
