Josiah Boteilho Identified as Teen Killed at Intersection in North Phoenix
Josiah Boteilho Killed in North Phoenix Crash on 30th Street and Greenway Road

North Phoenix, AZ (May 15, 2023) – Phoenix police have identified 13-year-old Josiah Boteilho as a teen killed on Sunday morning at an intersection in North Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix police, the two-vehicle collision happened on 30th Street and Greenway Road at about 8 a.m. Sunday, May 14.
As per the report, 36-year-old Bartolome Godinez-Perez was driving a pickup truck south on 30th Street when he failed to stop at a red light at the intersection with Greenway Road.
Godinez-Perez then turned right into the eastbound lanes going the wrong way, and it crashed into a car occupied by seven family members.
Boteilho was killed in the accident. Four other children and two adults were hospitalized following the incident.
According to Phoenix Fire Department, two boys were in critical condition but have since been stabilized. The other two children and the adults were in stable condition and were expected to survive.
Godinez-Perez remained at the scene and was booked into jail under DUI and manslaughter charges.
