Maria Viviano Hurt in Fatal Granite Bay Accident on Douglas Boulevard
Granite Bay, California (May 9, 2023) – Maria Viviano, 61, of Fair Oaks, was injured in a deadly collision involving a motorcycle on Monday afternoon in Granite Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at around 2:45 p.m. May 8, on Douglas Boulevard east of Berg Street.
Viviano was driving a red Toyota Rav4 when she tried to make a U-turn onto westbound Douglas Boulevard from eastbound Douglas Boulevard and was hit by a red/white Honda Motorcycle traveling west on Douglas Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Viviano was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
CHP said alcohol and/or drugs were not suspected to be a factor in the collision.
The incident is under investigation.
