Christopher Teagardin Killed in Panorama City Crash at Woodman Avenue and Lanark Street
Panorama City, California (February 2, 2023) – Christopher Teagardin, 47, of Granada Hills, was among two people killed in a crash involving a driver being pursued by police on Tuesday night in Panorama City, according to a local news source.
The crash took place at Woodman Avenue and Lanark Street shortly after 7:45 p.m. January 31.
Authorities spotted a stolen Toyota Tacoma in the area of El Dorado Avenue in Pacoima and tried to stop the driver but the suspect drove off and was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic in Panorama City.
The two people riding in the Honda, identified as Teagardin and Timothy Schultz, 49, of Reseda, were killed in the accident.
The suspect, Oscar Delacruz, 32, attempted to flee the scene after the crash but was arrested. Authorities said he faces murder charges following the accident.
Delacruz and his passenger were taken to hospital for treatment.
Authorities also placed the passenger under arrest for unspecified reasons.
The crash is under investigation.

Panorama City, California (February 1, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a Panorama City crash that killed two people and injured two other parties on Tuesday night.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:35 p.m., near Lanark Street and Woodman Avenue intersection.
According to the police, officers began a pursuit of a stolen truck near the 10600 block of El Dorado Avenue.
Unfortunately, the suspect’s vehicle reportedly struck a sedan that was going northbound on Woodman Avenue.
Sadly, two people who were in the vehicle that was struck sustained fatal injuries. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, who was later identified as Oscar Delacruz, 32, attempted to flee. Officers from the Foothill Division who had been involved in the pursuit deployed a stun gun and take-down tactics to detain the suspect quickly.
Both Delacruz and the passenger in the truck were taken to the hospital, police said, and Delacruz will face murder charges. He is being held without bail.
The crash remains under investigation.
