Rider Dead in Crash on 71 Freeway Transition Road to 60 Freeway in Pomona
Pomona, California (May 17, 2022) – A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning in a crash that occurred on a transition road in Pomona, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly collision happened at about 5:11 a.m. on the transition road from the southbound 71 Freeway to the eastbound 60 Freeway.
There were no details given about what transpired leading to the accident, but the motorcyclist may have collided with a sedan.
The rider was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The transition road was closed as authorities investigated. Traffic was being diverted off at Rio Rancho Road.
