2 Killed, 5 Injured in Mission Beach Crash on Mission Boulevard near San Fernando Place
Mission Beach, California (October 30, 2022) – Two people were killed in a Saturday afternoon head-on collision that left five other parties injured in Mission Beach, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:10 p.m., on October 29, at 2990 Mission Boulevard near San Fernando Place.
According to the police, a Ford EcoSport compact SUV, driven by a 62-year-old man, was traveling southbound in northbound lanes when it collided with a northbound Kia Sportage driven by a 41-year-old man.
Sadly, the 62-year-old man with a 59-year-old woman in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the passengers in the Ford sustained internal chest bleeding, and one passenger in the Kia was critically injured.
Another Ford passenger and two Kia passengers were treated for minor injuries.
Alcohol was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
