Deadly Traffic Collision on I-405 in Costa Mesa
At Least 1 Killed in Costa Mesa Crash on Interstate 405 at Harbor Boulevard
Costa Mesa, California (May 25, 2023) – At least one person died in an early Thursday morning collision that happened on Interstate 405 in Costa Mesa, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck transpired at around 12:56 a.m. in the southbound lanes at Harbor Boulevard.
Two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, blocking traffic lanes.
One person was unresponsive and trapped inside one of the cars.
Costa Mesa firefighters responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
CHP said at least one person was killed in the collision.
No other details were given, but an investigation is ongoing.
