1 Killed in Fresno County Accident on Millerton Road
Fresno County, California (May 12, 2023) – One person was killed in a car accident near Millerton Lake in Fresno County on Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Millerton Road on Thursday, May 11.
CHP said a truck was traveling westbound on the road when the driver failed to properly go around the curve and swerved to the side.
The truck driver then overcorrected and drifted into the path of oncoming traffic, colliding with an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old, sustained major injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
Two passengers in the SUV were transported to a hospital with major injuries.
The operator of the truck was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
