One Killed after Three-Vehicle Crash on Clear Lake Road in Eugene
Driver Dies in Eugene Car Accident on Clear Lake Road
Lane County, Oregon (May 17, 2023) – On Wednesday afternoon, the police responded to a fatal three-vehicle collision in Eugene.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at around 12:15 p.m. on Clear Lake Road, just west of Goodman Road.
As per the report, three vehicles were involved in the tragic traffic crash, but the manner in which the incident occurred was not immediately established.
One of the cars caught fire following the crash, trapping the driver.
The driver was killed in the wreck.
A blue/ green Pontiac sedan driver reportedly fled the scene westbound on foot.
The driver of the third vehicle was rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for treatment.
The identities of the drivers were not immediately disclosed.
More information about the incident was not available.
An investigation to determine the cause of the mishap is underway.
