Pedestrian Dies in El Cajon Accident on East Main Street
El Cajon, California (May 15, 2023) – An elderly pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle on Saturday night in El Cajon, according to a report by the El Cajon Police Department.
The incident took place at around 11 p.m. May 13, in the 1300 block of East Main Street.
Police said the pedestrian was hit by a 2002 black Acura in the location. Details on what led up to the accident were not immediately released.
The victim, aged about 70 to 80 years, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
