Teenager Dies after Chandler Car Crash near Hunt Highway and Arizona Avenue
Chandler, Arizona (May 9, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirmed the 18-year-old died at the hospital after a Saturday morning crash in Chandler that sent eight parties to the hospital.
According to the authorities, the crash happened at around 5:30 a.m. on May 6 near Hunt Highway and Arizona Avenue.
A truck with six occupants and a sedan with two parties inside were involved in the accident. However, the reports did not state how the crash occurred.
All eight people were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The teen, whose name was not disclosed, was declared dead at the hospital while receiving treatment.
A 16-year-old and a 49-year-old remained hospitalized with severe injuries. Five others sustained minor injuries.
No more information about the crash was provided.
The police are investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
