Esmeralda Espinoza Killed in Bakersfield Collision on Adobe Road
Bakersfield, California (May 16, 2023) – The toddler who was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Bakersfield has been identified as Esmeralda Garcia Espinoza, 2, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck happened just before 7 p.m. May 10, on Adobe Road near Highway 223.
Authorities said Esmeralda was hit by a truck that was entering the driveway of a private home.
Esmeralda was rushed to Kern Medical Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
