Motorcyclist Killed in Lancaster Crash at Avenue K and Sixth Street East

Lancaster, California (May 12, 2023) – A male motorcyclist died, and a driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Lancaster.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. at Avenue K and Sixth Street East.

Deputies from the Lancaster station responded to the intersection and found a motorcyclist involved in a collision with a Lincoln Zephyr.

The male rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Lincoln made a left turn from westbound Avenue K in front of the motorcyclist who was heading eastbound on Avenue K.

The deputies arrested the driver of the car on suspicion of driving under the influence. The motorist is expected to answer charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
