Uliezer De Jesus Hurt in Fatal Hanford Crash on Highway 43 near Flint Avenue
Hanford, California (October 18, 2022) – Uliezer De Jesus, 24, of Madera, was injured in a fatal multi-vehicle collision that happened on Monday morning in Hanford, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Highway 43, just north of Flint Avenue, on Monday, October 17.
According to the CHP, De Jesus was driving a Volkswagen Jetta southbound on Highway 43 when he drifted into the northbound side, for unknown reasons.
Oscar Escalera, 23, of Hanford, was driving a Hyundai in the northbound lane and swerved to the right shoulder to avoid the Volkswagen.
A northbound Chevrolet driven by Jose Santos Corona, 18, of Hanford, collided head-on with the Volkswagen.
The impact caused De Jesus to lose control and he collided with a southbound Volkswagen Passat driven by a 49-year-old from Dublin.
The driver of the Passat was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
De Jesus and a passenger in his vehicle, Abisua Princiliano, 19, of Madera, sustained minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
De Jesus was driving without a license and was booked into the Kings County Jail.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident. The crash is under investigation.
