Motorcyclist Dies in Granite Bay Crash, CHP Says
Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing with SUV near Douglas Boulevard and Berg Street in Granite Bay

Placer County, California (May 9, 2023) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV Monday afternoon near an intersection in the Granite Bay area of Placer County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck transpired at about 2:46 p.m. on Douglas Boulevard near Berg Street.
According to CHP, a woman was driving an SUV eastbound on Douglas approaching Berg when she started making a U-turn. While the driver turned, a motorcycle going faster than 85 mph slammed into the SUV.
The rider got ejected and sustained severe injuries.
Medical personnel responded and performed CPR on the male rider, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police closed westbound Douglas Boulevard as they investigated.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
