CHP Officer among 2 Injured in Crash on Interstate 280 in San Jose

San Jose, California (February 27, 2023) – A CHP officer was among two people injured in a crash on Monday afternoon in San Jose, according to the authorities.
The collision happened just after 1 p.m. on Interstate 280 near Saratoga Avenue.
The officer and another person were sitting in a parked patrol vehicle along I-280 waiting for a tow truck at the scene of an earlier solo crash.
The patrol car was hit by a northbound silver Ford Focus that lost control in the rain and swerved across the lanes of traffic.
Both occupants of the patrol vehicle were taken to a hospital with complaints of pain.
The cause of the wreck is ongoing.
