Charissa Williams Killed in Bicycle Accident at Henry Miller Avenue and Johnson Road in Los Banos
Merced County, California (October 29, 2022) – 20-year-old Charissa Williams, of Sonora, has been identified as the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a car in Los Banos on Wednesday evening.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at around 7:19 p.m. on October 26, at Henry Miller Avenue and Johnson Road.
Williams was riding a bicycle west, in the westbound lane of Henry Miller Avenue when she was rear-ended by a 2009 Nissan Maxima driven by a 42-year-old Los Banos woman.
The impact of the collision caused the bicyclist to be ejected onto the hood of the vehicle before striking the windshield.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
