Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Berkeley Motorcycle Crash
Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on Interstate 80 in Berkeley
Berkeley, California (May 27, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a traffic collision that took place late Friday afternoon in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol said.
A Suzuki motorcycle collided with a red Honda CR-V at around 5:25 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 80, just west of the University Avenue off-ramp.
The rider was lying in the No. 1 lane after the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
