At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Selma Car Accident on Mountain View Avenue near Mendocino Avenue
Selma, California (November 16, 2022) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a traffic collision involving a wrong-way driver that happened Wednesday afternoon in Selma, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place at about 3:17 p.m. on E Mountain View Avenue between S Mendocino Avenue and S Academy Avenue.
According to the CHP report, a white pickup truck, a red sedan and a third vehicle were involved in the collision. The pickup ended up in a nearby orchard.
The red sedan was driving the wrong way at the time of the accident, as per the report.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene to find at least one person with major injuries. The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.
All eastbound lanes of Mountain View remained blocked as authorities investigated.
