Severe Injury Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-405 in Inglewood
At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Inglewood Car Collision on Interstate 405 near Century Boulevard
Inglewood, California (March 1, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle pileup that happened Wednesday morning in Inglewood, resulting in severe injuries.
The collision was reported just after 5 a.m. on southbound Interstate 405, just east of W Century Boulevard.
CHP said five vehicles were involved in the collision under unclear circumstances.
A Tesla Model 3 involved in the accident was facing the wrong way in the carpool lane, and an occupant needed medical attention.
Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
According to the firefighters, the crash resulted in severe injuries to at least one person.
Several traffic lanes remained blocked as authorities investigated.
