Injuries Sustained in 2-Vehicle Collision at Intersection in Tucson
At Least 1 Hospitalized after Tucson Car Accident at Cushing Street and Interstate 10

Tucson, Arizona (May 24, 2023) – At least one person was taken to the hospital after a two-car crash at an intersection in Tucson on Wednesday.
According to the Tucson police, the incident happened in the area of Cushing Street and Interstate 10.
35-year-old Myles Dixon was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck when it collided with a BMW SUV. The events surrounding the crash were not immediately established.
Dixon was hurt and was treated at the scene. He was later arrested on suspicion of felony criminal damage and misdemeanor DUI.
The BMW occupants were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The crash temporarily shut down South Frontage Road from West Congress Street to South West Cushing Street. The Sun Link Streetcar stop at the intersection was also closed.
A Sun Tran bus was used Wednesday to connect passengers from Plaza Centro to downtown and the Mercado.
No more information about the mishap was provided.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
