Sunland-Tujunga, California (May 16, 2022) – Two people died in a Sunland-Tujunga big rig crash that happened Monday afternoon on 210 Freeway, authorities in Los Angeles said.

The wreck occurred just before 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway near the La Tuna Canyon Road exit.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a car slammed into the rear of the big rig for unknown reasons. The car’s front end got wedged underneath the semi.

CHP officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene.

Two people died in the collision.

The driver of the rig was not hurt.

CHP did not mention the cause of the collision.
